When was the last time you found yourself fully immersed in fun? Or remember a time when the hours flew by and the world around you disappeared? Whether it was playing with toys as children, or playing a game as an individual or part of a team, there was a time in our lives when playing was not only expected... it was encouraged! So what happened?
We all have goals, objectives, and game plans to get us to where we want to go and who we want to become. We put in the work and the reps, and we grind to make our desired future a reality. And sometimes, no matter how much time and effort we put in. No matter how hard we train. No matter how much we sacrificed. No matter how bad we want it... sometimes, we still lose. Why? Well, no matter what we did to prepare, our opposition prepared as well.
Often times it is tough to close the door on one phase of our life or even one event in our life. Endings are difficult - no doubt about it. Whether that ending is a season of life where you came away with the championship, or ended up winless, the fear of what's next can be very real. During times like these, we must remind ourselves that every ending is the opportunity for a new beginning. A fresh start that is full of new possibilities. Where are you in our own cycle of endings and new beginnings? Are you stuck in the past - afraid to let go, or are you hungry and ready to embrace a new beginning and all the opportunity and possibility that comes with it?
Today's post is a bit selfish... call it a motivational speech to myself - one that I sorely need right now. And while I personally need this now, I know this feeling of treading water is something we all feel at times. So I hope today's message lights you up now or some day in the future when complacency tries to come knocking... BE RELENTLESS...

In sports, a player's legacy is often cemented by incredible stats, broken records and championships. The truly great are even enshrined in their sport's Hall of Fame. Fans of all ages will walk the halls of those Hall of Fame buildings and be reminded of their greatness for years to come. And what about the rest of us? Is it really about what we do that defines a meaningful legacy, or is it more about what we spent our time being and becoming throughout our lives?
